Blood Angels Army

And whole army together. I really love this army and I'm sure I'm going to paint more of those Blood Angels in the future. I've been painting them for years but the outcome gives me a lot of satisfaction. All units are based on magnetic movement trays that will be available in the store soon. And to finish this army I've made this commander. Well your army need at least one HQ choice so I picked that Captain from Assault on Black Reach. I've gave him Power Fist. He's ready to fight.

Blood Angels Sanguinary Guard

When I saw this unit for the first time I just thought this is the best unit in whole 40k universe. Angels with actual wings attached to their jumppacks and yet with two handed swords. This is one of my favourites units do far. They look absolutely awsome. I love the details on their armor. After assembly I've figured out that it would be cool to make them look like they are actually flying. So I've made those column bases. And than I had even better idea. To make a little scenic base for a whole unit. And that is how I got this idea. The mini display/movement tray is magnetized. And soon it will be availalbe in my store here on this blog.

Then the new Blood Angels Codes along with new minis came out. I grab some new minis to complete the starter army. I really love the details on those guys. They look just awesome and are Blood Angels must have. Not because of rules but because of theme and how they look.

I've painted some Blood Angels recently, so I was sure those colors would look great. Then I've decided to paint whole army in Blood Angels scheme.

OK, So recently I've finished this Blood Angels army. I've started this project long time ago. It took me a while ,but was worth the effect.

Elf Base

So I'm going to start making my own stuff. This would be tokens, bases and some terrain and magnetic movement trays. This would be my first base line. Check out High Elves Lion Prince with Great Axe. He was mounted on that base. Let me know what do you think about it.

Lothern Sea Helm

One more Sea Helm. This one was made from Sea Guards Champion. I've added a bigger sword and some ribbons from Shycutter so now he really stands out.

Another Elf converted from Sword Masters Standard Bearer to Lion Prince. His axe and lion shoulder is from White Lions box. The fur cape was taken from Space Wolves pack. His hair and some of fur was sculpted from green stuff. I really like this one. It is mounted on a base I'm going to produce soon.

High Elves Prince with Great Axe

Some time ago I've bought several Island of Blood sets. I've made units from troopers and I got some command groups left. Here's an idea how you can simply convert them so you still can use them in your games. Today's mini is Sword Masters Champion with converted weapon. An angry Elf with bloody axe is a real badass.

Loremaster of Hoeth with Shield

So I've heard this cunning tactic. Take a Loremaster and give him a magical sword. Now since he has to use a magic weapon you can give him that magic high elf shield. It gives him 4+ Parry Save and +1 to his Armor Save value. And he gets re-rolls co he now Always Strikes First since he wont use his great weapon anymore. Just think of it. This sword could be the might Leaping Gold Blade for some killing or a something budget like Biting Blade if you plan to give him other items. Now you have an ultimate warrior mage who casts spells before combat, then fights like a pro, and parry any hit. Could you think of any better for an Elf?

Another mini from Skycutter box set. This time I've folowed instruction to glue him as a Battle Standard Bearer. Really like this mini. Lots of details. I really like new High Elves. Great models.

One of the Elves made from bits left from Skycutter. I've changed palette of colors for this one, so he stands out better on battlefield. Really like how this came out. Those will be the colors for Green Knight I'm planing to paint.

Finally I've finished this flying boat. I really like this model. I wasn't big keen of it at first. I thought it was a joke. But it just looks great when finished. I love the base, Great Eagle with those green ribbons is cool, and that boat looks really nice too. And there are some realy great bits inside this box. You can make some additional minis like Battle Standard Bearer or that new Seaguard Hero from what's left. You will see those guys soon. Stay tuned coz there is whole army of High Elves incoming.

Loremaster of Hoeth

This is standard High Elf painting, but guess what. I'm going to paint another one with red glowing fireball in hand like I did with Sisters of Avelorn.

Grimgor Ironhide

Black Orc Warboss. Fun to paint. I love that squig face on his belly. Soon some more Orcs for fantasy.

Huge Mangler Squig

This angry Tomato is a little old idea. Once upon a time, when the Orcs & Goblins Arachnarok model has been released I fugued out that you can make a big squig out of his abdomen. Those were time with no finecast and no original Mangler Squigs. So I bought another Arachnarok Spider and I cut his ass of. Then the whole project got on shelf. It's have been ripening there for years. Recently, Pszemek got his hands and some tool on that ass. He sculpted the face, legs and theeths. But while he was working on that ass, I got rest of Arachnarok model and sculpted something special. I'll show it to you soon. I can only add that my inspiration was Diablo, the game. After sculpting the Squig was a bit naked. So I've sculpted some mushrooms and added them to his back and on the base. Now the model was finished. Recently I've got a new idea to make glowing mushrooms since I love OSL on minis. But it has to wait for another Mangler model. This time it would be a balloon filled with helium.

Sisters of Avelorn

I've just finieshed painting Sisters of Avelorn. The idea was to paint the whole unit using this hot metal effect, in this case it was just flaming bows. How it's going to turn out? Will the whole unit break the flaming effect? I'll let you answer the question (please use the comment form). I really love that flaming effect so much, I keep painting it everywhere! Now moving to skycutter and phoenixes. And guess what, there's gonna be a flaming one too!

Handmaiden of the Everqueen

This chick is a Handmaiden of the Everqueen. I've convertet this model using Sea Guard legs, female Wood Elf torso and parts from Sisters of Avelorn box. I really like that babe and it fits sisters very well.

Nurgle Daemons of Chaos Army

Nurgle Daemons of Chaos for Warhammer Fantasy Battle. Plaguebeares did get a socketed movement tray for whole unit. Inside this unit there are some of those loose Nurglings that try to be like real Plaguebearers :). Nurglings and Beast have 40mm square bases and Great Unclean One has 50mm square base. Drones of Nurgle have 50x75mm each. They easily rank up no matter if they are skirmish or base to base. The huge help here is that you can actually rotate mini all around. That makes Drones, Plaguebearers and Nurglings rank up so easily. Oh, and we will be making those round to square bases for sale. They are all magnetized.

This is Chaos Daemons of Nurgle Army. As you can see GUO and Drones have extended basses to the appropriate size. Check Fantasy version of this army here.

Great Unclean One

This is the last model for this Daemonic Nurgle warband. I'll upload whole army pictures soon. The Great Fat One i mounted on 40mm base but it has bases options to field it on square base for fantasy and on appropriate round base for 40k. Actually the whole army was designed this way. You will see this tonight.

I have mixed feelings for New Drones of Nurgle. I like the fat flies or maybe they are mosquitos. On the other hand I really don't like plagueberers on top of them. Anyway It was really fun to paint those fat ugles that in overall I would say they are one of best sulpts for daemonic army. I'll upload some more closeups soon.

This week Nurgle strikes again. This time in his Daemonic form. Those Nurglings are actually fillers for a unit of Plagueberers. Nothing special but they are really funny.

Chaos Lord of Tzeentch

Do you remember Chaos Lord with hot metal weapon? Your suggestion was to make two more lords. Nurgle and Tzeentch one. I've finished the Nurgle Sorcerer Lord quite fast. Check it here.. Now I finished Tzeentch Lord. The model has been slightly converted, to give him more Tzeentch look. Pszemek has sculpted those beautiful feathers on his back. We swapped his weapon with horrors banner which can now act as standard or sorcerer's staff. And we used a head from forsaken box. I've painted this model in cool bluish fire of Tzeentch. You know, the warpflame does not burn in this edition ;). Let me know if you like it.

Third and unfortunately the last one closeup on those ogres. I forgot to take pictures of the standard bearer. I guess I need more caffeine. Anyway this is my favorite ogre. Great job on that guts, Pszemek!

As I mentioned this weekend will be dedicated to Nurgle. We did some more Nurgle Ogres. I've painted some Forge World models before. This time we took our sculptking tools on Iron Guts to mark them Nurgle. Pszemek did great job on sculpting those baubles and guts. Painting scheme similar to FW models as this is ment to be same unit. I'll upload some closeups on those models soon.

Nurgle Tokens

Tokens for Nurgle Chas Warrior Army. Fast and Easy to make. I really recommend to make those. They realy loks great on battlefield. Much better then dice, coins or other stuff.

Chaos Chimera of Nurgle

So its time for some Nurgle now. Well the Chimera can't have marks of chaos gods, but since it is dedicated for mono Nurgle army we converted it a bit. Heres what have we done to this model. I've made some holes in wings. Pszemek has sculpted this huge belly and added some baubles all over. That was enough to get that filthy Nurgle look. It fits really nice to the army now. When I was painting this model I wanted to stick to colors of the rest army as close as possible. Because the model has no armor nor any decorations I've decided to follow the same color scheme I did for Warhounds of Nurgle (remember the ones from vampire counts dire wolves?) and Forge World Nurgle Ogres - they are also meant to be part of this army. I'll post some more Nurgle conversions made by Pszemek and painted by me soon.

Grey Knight with Nemesis Daemon Hammer

As I've posted Grey Knight model I thought to myself why not to finish them all. This model was also started just after Grey Knight premiere. Today, I cut of his halberd and I glued this brick. At first I thought it could be painted in Hot Metal technique. But since his eyes were already painted blue I was like why not to paint it Cold Metal. I'm going to paint some Frost Weapons for Space Wolves in this technique and than I'm gonna try it on High Elf Frostheart Phoenix.

Grey Knights Dreadnought

I really put emphasis on finishing my old projects along with new ones. This mini has been bought on it's premiere, but finished yesterday. There was lots of fun making this little version of dreadknight. This is supposed to be armed with heavy flamer and heavy bolter. The model is smaller then dreadknight but a bit bigger than dreadnought. I might take some photos comparing it size to both of those minis.

Gazghkull on his display plinth. Hope you like it. Those plinthes would be available soon on this website. They ar quite light and quite nice. Ork Warboss without his display plintch. So you can actually see his back. Model will be fighting mostly against Dark Angels and Ultramarines. That's why we added those helmets to his Bosspole.
